<<Today, Google sent out a notice that it would be holding a press event Thursday morning at its San Francisco offices, where the search giant would be “unveiling a couple of cool new mobile features.”
Google mobile product management director Hugo Barra will demo the additions, which some think should include integrated video calling in the Android mobile operating system.>>
<<Other than integrated video calling, another feature that should be on Android users’ wish lists to match Apple might be a “find my phone” offering directly from Google, rather than from app providers, that can be used to retrieve lost or stolen mobile devices, as well as lock and wipe them.
Also sorely needed: Better wireless synchronization for music and other media.>> http://kara.allthingsd.com/20100810/what-new-features-will-google-reveal-at-mobile-event-thursday-it-should-be-integrated-video-calling/ |
Some people bet it will be about Google Music too. |
Google Music as a "cool new mobile feature"? |
I want my VoIP. I want my Google Voice and GTalk all in one. plz? |
Jérôme Google Music as "buying and listening music on your mobile" |
Google Music was supposed to be launched later. "Cool new mobile features"!= "new Android features". |
Yeah google music is for android 2.2
i don't think that's done yet. |
Control your Android phone just by speaking using Voice Actions.
Features: -Send text messages -Get directions -Call contacts -View a map -Write a note -Listen to music -Call businesses -Send email -Go to websites -Search Google
Voice Actions requires Android 2.2 (Froyo) and higher.

I find amusing that "Navigate to" is used to "go to" a physical place while "Go to" is used to "navigate to" a website :) |
I think they wanted the shorter command for the more common action. Or to make GPS nav sound totally badass.
Either way, i don't care about this stuff right now, i want my Google Voice and Google Talk bridged! And my net neutrality defender back =[ |
Hopefully, actions will be customizable in the future. Other apps could add their own actions. |
