From BBC:

<< Oracle says Google infringed patents on its Java software while developing its Android operating system.

Oracle acquired the Java technology when it took over Sun Microsystems in deal agreed last year. >>

It would be interesting to know which are the seven patents that Oracle claims Google has infringed.

Google seems to have been careful to avoid misusing the Java trademark, and apparently developed a clean implementation of a public specification, so I guess Google will win this one.

What makes it interesting is that, according to the Financial Times, Eric Schmidt used to be head of the Java Development Team at Sun Microsystems (which Oracle bought).
