Google is crazy again with it's "circle particles". And I thought Google really learned their lesson with all the Pac Man criticism:(

Could this doodle be about Google search event today? Or its birthday? |

Hmm that's a cool thing but don't no why?! Search Event is tomorrow. Google Germany tweets: "Unser Logo freut sich heute schon auf etwas wirklich Spannendes später in dieser Woche..." |

Or Googles birthday? |

But if it's about the birtyday why isn't it global? |

I think they use peoples curiosity to make them use html5 browser in the future. I like the particles... |
TOMHTML ![[PersonRank 10] [PersonRank 10]](image/postrank/10.gif) | 2 years ago # |
it's *NOT* HTML5. |

For those trying to work, the https version of Google Search has always avoided these gimmicks (so far...):

There is a statement on Google Italia. googleitalia.blogspot.com/2010 ... |

Got the same statement via email from Google in Dutch. I expect Google will mention this tomorrow at the event. I also expect that Google will mention / introduce streaming search. |

It didn't last too long. Back to the standard logo now. Strange that there was no explanation about it for typical users who were likely confused by it.
I always enjoy their logos and experimentation with them regardless of how distracting they are to some people. |

"And I thought Google really learned their lesson with all the Pac Man criticism:("
The Pac Man logo had two problems that this one didn't, unsolicited sound and keyboard shortcuts that could override the users ability to type those letters in the search box.
I liked the Pac-Man logo, though. If you have to do serious work, you can search Google quite easily in any modern browser without going to google.com |

ArpitNext and @beussery
Instead of it just being a fixed grey....if you start typing in the search box, each letter of the logo turns to its respective colors.
