This software is a real-time frame-by-frame system that seems to work in a similar way to the Photoshop and Gimp content-aware fill for static images:

Ah, the legal system will have another headache: when examining a CCTV footage, extra care will need to be taken to identify if the footage is contaminated with such software.

[put at-character here]Andy: it's easy enough to have the original camera hardware digitally sign the original digital recording, and indeed many cameras do this.
