The Doodle links to http://www.greencarmel.co.il/ which is a project to help restore the large area of Israel devastated by a huge fire last December. The money-raisng project asks users to upload photos taken within the formerly green Carmel region and these will appear as a Google Earth layer.

A very beautiful one!

BTW: Here it links to typical google search, however.

What time in Israel does google.il change its doodles?
Do they change them around sunset or midnight?
Does it depend on the doodle?

If they change it near sunset what formula do they use?
Does Google use the moment of the day change for the Jewish calendar?
Do they use an astronomical sunset?
Do they use 6 p.m.?
