Google Remotely Removes Android Malware Apps

They removed some malware from their app store. They then remotely removed the installed apps from the Android devices. They are also pushing an Android Market "security update" to affected devices along with a notification.

Is this supposed to be a case of two wrongs making a right?

Are you referring to the App Removal process as wrong? I see it as a tool. Some use it for good (Such as this case), others use it for evil (Amazon removing books which have been paid for).

Is a knife wrong because people can use it to kill?

Google did the right thing to protect it's customers.
