The NYT has disclosed the full name of the engineer. What an epic story, I urge you to read the full report because it's really interresting to see how this happened and how Google blocked the FCC as much as they could...

People complain about an engineer collecting network data along the road while the Google car is driving around making photos of EVERYTHING? How are engineers supposed to tell the "good" from the "bad" data if the whole company aim seems to suggest to collect as much as possible?
