Yup, possible... occurs if the programmer runs in a tight repeat loop for a long time, locking the consumer out of their own machine for at least 15 seconds. More info: http://www.macromedia.com/go/15512
The programmer may not see this on their own machine, which is why it's useful to test on lower-end machines during development. When parsing large amounts of data it's better to parse a small chunk, release the tight repeat loop to let the computer do other tasks, parse another chunk; continue until done. This requires manual work now... one goal for future versions is to make it easier to chunk large amounts of data-processing... current approaches are outlined in the above technote.
