Some bloggers have been complaining about the sparseness of the Google chat features, but I enjoy the animated, low-key emoticons. Some clients (including GAIM) use really big, annoying smiley faces that ruin the flow of conversation. Google design does it again. |
On a somewhat related note, with all of Google's use of color to distinguish people (in google groups and in gmail conversations), it surprises me that they don't do any distinction in gmail chat. The indentation is nice, but I was just surprised not to find that.
What I'm waiting for: let me disable those pesky popups (except on the quick contacts) and let me chat with multiple people at a time from gmail (in one chatroom). |

As far as I know the emotions only work in the gmail chat. The emotions in talk just turn a blue color. |
