Yes, you can use both "OR" and "|". Note this is case-sensitive. You can also use brackets, AND (a default though), the minus operator, wildcard operator "*", and NOT.
Example query:
(pizza | heaven) AND (lol | hello) |
but note "minus operator" (-) in the term;
"evan williams OR evhead -bourbon"
