I am hearing that the Amazon and google are reaching the end of their talks. Not sure on the chatter and the quality of noise being given to me. Other published sources have conflicting stuff..

I belive that the 5% stock investment of google into amazon is going to be paid dividends via this pathway too. With, google's new advertising method puts it in direct competition with music stores – as they can direcly push the record label via ads..and a simple click to buy via fatwallet!!
any thoughts from others ?? |
wsj report has no mention of google in it!!

What is the benefit of including Google? I'm not saying it wouldn't happen, as Amazon and Google have teamed up before (http://www.a9.com), but Amazon already has a huge userbase, already has boatloads of song/album/artist information, and is probably capable of doing this itself.
The advantage they'll have over iTunes: They can sell you hardware preloaded with your song purchases. A disadvantage: They are going to be more flexible with the recording companies on pricing (read: more expensive) |
If GoogleTunes is going to be as extensive as Google Video, then this means there will be exactly 2 Pink Floyd and 4 Beach Boys albums... all of which I can't download in Germany. Hooray! ;) |
