Philipp, can you make it so when you click submit, it automatically gets inserted into Flickr? You don't even need to use the API for this. All you need to do is setup an acount and use the email feature to insert the pictures. Once a picture is submited, it's emailed to the special Flickr Email address and Voila!

The danger I imagine is that people who want to see cool sketches just go to flickr (possibly using interestingness) and no more sketches get submitted to Sketch Swap...

No, I think the danger is that people will flood Flickr with stupid images. And don't forget that Flickr hosts photos, not cartoonish graphics.
