The "recent articles" are sorted by a mixture of date and relevance rather than just date alone. This would also be a good addition in google's blog search; rather than just sort by date vs. sort by relevance, it should be a relevant sort by date

Relevancy + Date + Most Cited (Viewed) and add to all this most commented.

I should be able to comment my thoughts, add new ideas, create the missing added value.

Google Scholar is used by most researchers and they would prefer not to get indexed linked pages where y ou have to subscribe ---
