who notices that when you go to www.news.google.com you can't immediantly start typing in the search box. For some reason this irks me. I'm guessing its so you look at the page? Bah, i'll just have to keep hitting tab. Sorry, its late.

PS This is the same for video and groups.
PPS This is not the case with google.com and image search.

I I go to Google News to read it. Its nice to be able to hit the down key to scroll down.

In Image search and others there's a back when you refine your query on the result page: if you're too fast, the JavaScript (which is triggered onload, I suppose) replaces your new search with the old search. Very annoying, that.
