Hi Just read the post by Bob who lost his Gmail account. An almost identical scenario just happened to me yesterday. I checked my mail about 4:50 Pm local time and went to the movies with my wife. When we returned at about 8:30 Pm I could not log in, when I asked for my password I was told there was no such email address and I should open a new account. When I tried to re-open my account it said it was already assigned (probably to me).
I sent off an email to Google and got an automatic reply asking for information which I provided. I also called and left a message (Google was closed). This morning I get a message saying my account has been deleted. Why? By Whom?
What makes it tough for me is I've been looking for work and have used Gmail on my resumes and in interviews. In fact I had just received 2 emails about possible work that I was going to deal with on the weekend.
Now I'm stuck and still waiting for an answer from Google.
