what is this telling us ?? The counts are different Google vs Technorati ??

Totally different metric. And I'm not sure Google's site: operator is very meaningful in terms of page counts.

This organizes the TOP 100 by amount of Pages in each site
Technorati – organizes THEIR Top 100 by amount of SITES that Link to a Blog
===============================
1 Boing Boing: A Directory of Wonderful Things By xenijardin. Last updated 1 hour ago. 66,219 links from 20,223 sites
====================
The reason this new reordering is interesting, is that it illustrates how many blogs became popular with JUST RELATIVELY FEWER PAGES – ...and a few, like Matt's Blog, are relatively newer, which makes their acheivement even More Impressive

Page count indicates how large a site is. It's no perfect indicator, and it can be skewed, but it's a start...
When we want to see a more similar metric we can order using the "link:" operator... I just added this: blogoscoped.com/files/link100. ...

With counts of links I see seth's blog twice- position 42 and 63. I assume that this is a type err when feed the link search.
I am still not confident with the link farm at technorati as they still have issues with the 1+1 problem of linking.

The blog appearing twice is an error of Technorati's data, which I just re-ordered for this... search for "seth", it appears twice here :) technorati.com/pop/blogs/

yes, they also have the "off by 1 err"..that we both noticed..

I just noticed this too.. for seth's blog..
Postion 39 URL = sethgodin.typepad.com/ Postion 82 URL = sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_bl ...
This also calls for Technorati to open up its link farming algos.. so that community can discuss it!!
