It would be a disaster.

Microsoft is already too big. Yahoo is huge too. They would get more messy and less focused. What are they going to do with all the duplicate services?

Yahoo ALREADY has duplicates due to acquistions (del.icio.us/my web, Y!photos/flickr).

This just wouldn't work – and for that reason I am pretty sure it wont happen.
