hey.. dont forget "digger"!! |
Near my college (near the centre of a city) there is an arcade, although by the sounds of things, not the kind you're talking about. It's what arcades have grown up into.
The main features are House of the Dead 3 and 4, Ghost Squad, Time Crisis 3, Dance Dance Fusion, then some ralley sims, which I can't remember the names of. (Then these are supplimented with 10p machines and gambl*ng [<< this word is blocked] machines)
Apart from DDF and the rally games, they're all light gun games, 3D graphics etc., and cost £1.00 per credit.
Not the arcades of yester-year (or so I've read, being 17 :)), but they still consume quite a lot of our free time.
Of course with the shooty-ness it's a larely male environment. Don't know if other people would like to compare 'their' arcades?

I wish we'd have that kind of arcades here. Mostly there's only 1 or 2 of those shoot-em-ups, the rest is money sl0t machines. |
