It will be interesting to see how they integrate video with google news. I think Google news already looks a little crowded. Now when they add video, isn't that going to be even more crowded? Or will the change the GUI and make it ajaxy with collapasably sections pulling in information as needed. |
If they redesign News, I hope they do it the "finance-way".
Google Finance has a lot of information on a clean interface and is very neat.
Or they just link to video.google.com (read N-O-N-O). Time will tell. |
About Google Health, would they buy Pubmed, healthline, webmd, ?
Would it be a stand alone service.
It has been 4 years I have been in the Health Search Sector, going from Health information retrievals, usability factors, human online behaviour, changes of the relationships between doctors patients, and the information channels and other health actors.
We know that health sector is a complex system with complex organisations and actors and where it differs by health laws from country to country.
what is accept it in USA, is not allowed in France or Sweden (where they still have a pharmacy health sector monopole).
The Psychometric point is to overcome the Health Trust Factor, and relevancy.

Evidence must be organized & found easily by relevancy, date (we are talking about health) – we do not need to find the most relevant answer dating from 1995 ? do we ?
Google Health is going to be included in Mobile Health test Applications, Google Video Health Learning, Google 3D sketchup for Physical Bodies Visual applications schools univeristies research.
Google Health will bring Google Back to the Academic areas.

Google health, Oh good god, whatever next!
However the more i think about it Google is ideally placed to launch a Medical style Portal.
I am just watching for all the Google related health sites who are going to launch in response to the news.
