Is it me, or has Google Music Search (http://www.google.com/musicsearch) been down for the past couple of days?

I receive a Bad Request error, with the following message: Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request.

It's not down. Try http://www.google.com/musicsearch?q=u2

You need this URL

http://www.google.com/musicsearch?q=&btnG=Search+Music

the one you provided expects a search string to be there, and when it finds none it complains.

why don't you just use the music operator on the regular google.com. Like http://www.google.com/musicsearch?hl=en&q=music%3Akirk+franklin&btnG=Google+Search

Odd, this link has always worked for me.

And it makes sense for Google to make a search box available on the page. I bet they're missing out on a ton of queries this way.
