Apparently my company's firewall is blocking all images on Flickr (but not Flickr itself). My bad. I can see them now that I'm on an outside line.

Doesn't Flickr use Flash for images? They load kind of slow, often, and maybe your company firewall blocks Flash...

Flickr used to use Flash all over the place but I'm pretty sure that they now use AJAX for most things (except for the slideshow feature). Just a second...

Well, the images are just .jpg files and that's apparently what's getting blocked from Flickr. If I try to directly go to the image by pasting its link into the browser I get the firewall message that I'm trying to look at pron or something. It's weird, though, because usually it's the whole site that gets blocked, not just .jpg images coming from it. Whatever.
