David if you're worried it knows the name of whoever's browsing the site, thats not the case. It does not display my name, instead it displays "David Hetfield" the author of the report. If you didn't write it then I imagine its just a coincidence although I see how it could be perturbing.

someone has used the same name as you to create a log on at mathlab.com.

There could be many "david hetfield" around..likewise you share my middle name :)!!

i dont think its a coincidence at all
cause if youll click on my name (using this post for example) youll see the following:
a link to : The MathWorks – File Exchange – David Hetfield
and:

Name:, David Hetfield. E-Mail:, Contact Author. Organization:. Rank:, 304.
Total Downloads:, 5165. Author Description. Files ...

and i say:

David, read the page you're talking about:

http://blogoscoped.com/forum/posts-by-David+Hetfield.html

At the top, beneath your name, it says:

"Top Google Result for David Hetfield"

Immediately below that is the top Google result when you search for [David Hetfield], which just happens to be that profile on the Mathworks website (when you search using the Google API, at least).

You simply have the same name as somebody else. There's no conspiracy; it's just a coincidence!
