im asking, (its not a fact) did someone else hear about this speculation?! |
Yes, the rumor has been out for a while, but it's just that, a rumor... you can find some previous discussion searching for "gbrowser" here, like this post: http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2004_09_21_index.html#109577101161802475 |
thanks Philipp.. and y the way, you think Google will buy FireFox?! i just wanna know your opinion :) |
If anything, Google should expand their partnership with Opera. This browser is becoming huge in mobile devices, and is going to be on the next Nintendo console! |
lol.. nice comparison :)
but i think that IE's most powerful foe is FireFox.. not Opera
so they should buy FireFox |
You can't buy Firefox because it's free software. The Mozilla Corporation has only been set up for tax purposes, but will never be sold to anybody. So Google will definitely not be buying FF. Perhaps offering a rebranded version. But i don't think they'll ever do |
i dunno.. i think FireFox and Google are in a good relationship. i think that Google is about to buy them(or rebrand them). pretty soon i guess.

Google is more focussing on what happens in the browser, than the browser itself, but it pays for them to buy Firefox developers to create browser tools (like the Google Toolbar, the Google Notebook, the Google Web Accelerator). But maybe one day they'll release a browser + desktop OS (as opposed to the web OS they are already releasing) just to cover everything :) |
All they need is Online Behavior, the way your browse time, aspects interest, swithcing from sites to sites, etc... |
