Michael has 6 reasons why he thinks Google Video Ads will fail: http://www.techcrunch.com/2006/05/23/google-ppc-video-ads-im-betting-against-it/ |
Can anyone see this in Adsense yet? |
"Play on click" would be OK except that the initial image can presumably be an animated GIF.
I've switched to "text ads only" for my AdSense, but I'd be happy to have static images if I could block animations and Flash. |

Same here. Write Google support about it, I did too, maybe if they get enough emails management will put a developer behind this :) |
I wish they would allow ads directly inside videos hosted on their video service. |
I just got some backchannel chatter here....
"if you're subscribed to Google AdSense and you allow image advertisements that are sufficiently large for the video box to fit, you might just suddenly start getting video ads too"
.. its like rolling out it appears!! :)_ Can anyone confirm this ?? |
Yesterday, I saw an ad, and at first I thought it was just an embedded video. I never thought it was an advertisement until I played it. |
Thanks KAI since you mentioned this Google click to play three months ago at Google Blogoscoped |
I think bidding has to be smarter than that /
Bidding on Prime Time by keyword search on Google
Impression by tagging on Content Network |
Hi,
I just saw my first AdSense Video Ad on my site, Free Stuff Page. It is an ad from GM Canada for Pontiac GS Pursuit.
Have a look at it at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/free-stuff/157392736/ |
