From what I've been reading on forum posts n stuff, it seems that people are being visited quite a bit by a new googlebot identifying itself as Mozilla.

I have two theories on this. It's either

a) The Google techie guys testing the new google/mozilla browser that has been talked about.

or:

b) Google are trying to remove the junk from the index so are using a secondary bot that's designed to get around those websites that show different content to spiders. (I guess they can compare the results from the two spiders, and anyone showing different content *could* be banned...?).
