Just noticed a "little" bug in Google's IG
Imagine: + 2 computers + one used daily, the other all 2 weeks + now, computer 1 (daily use) changes his ig settings + the next time you use computer 2 (all 2 weeks) and you are still logged in into IG, you see your old modules :) |
All 2 weeks you mean you are logged in for 2 weeks solid?
I think if the 2 week solid person refreshed the page they would get the latest modules. |
youll have this "bug" in every thing if you dont refresh the page |
yeah but under Ajax conditioning, why a refresh ?? shoud not /ig be aware of such changes ?? |
no.. i dont think /ig is based on Ajax.. |
heh ?? then what are all the /ig Mods made from David ?? |
lol.. dont know.. if it is based on Ajax, how come it doesnt refresh itself?! Gmail is based on Ajax.. isnt it!? and it does refresh itself.. so is Google Calendar.. and so on... |
Both Gmail and IG are AJAX applications, since both use the XMLHttpRequest object to store data in the server without refreshing the page, but under some conditions they need to be refreshed.
For example IG stores the position of the modules in the server everytime you move them by doing a GET request but without refreshing the page. Gmail is a little different situation because aside form AJAX techiques it also uses hidden frames. |
so why dont Google use the same Ajax... lets call it ' version '.. or why dont they use these hidden frames on /ig? |
Does /ig autorefresh at all? |
but the mods on the hompy refresh concurrently .. correct ? |
I think so. I mean if I go back to look at it I think new feeds / emails are loaded.
But I may be wrong on this. |
didnt get it.. does /ig refresh itself or not?! |
