BarCodes are dead – and it will be RFID's for the futures-- so google needs to factor this for all commodities strategy and local search SERP
"Recommender" – is as iffy as "images" with Adwords.. There is no way I can recommend the kewl new stuff without manually intravention for quiality recommendation lists.. that means a "mech turk" sceanrio

BTW, I think Georges Harik background is Genetics background and the whole PageRank algorithm is not far from social genetics research.

Google should also spend some time making this existing products better. Two examples: Blogger is butt-slow/timing-out again today ... and the Google API is known to be flaky. |

- Sing / Draw search ... I like the idea of using alternative input methods to simple plain text
- Google Storage ... though in small for, this's already available via gMail, and it's also been rumored widely, esp. after one of their press conference presentations was leaked
