Microsoft today updated the http://ideas.live.com page today announcing that you can now instant message with Yahoo clients. But guess what?? It looks like they spoke too soon.. now the page is gone. :(

It's been more than 6 months that Google annonced GTalk will communicate with AIM. http://www.google.com/intl/en/press/pressrel/twaol_expanded.html

I wonder when Google is finally releasing an upgraded version of their talk client. What really is missing much is file transfer and video.

For those who can't wait like me, you "can" connect GTalk to MSN, Y!, or AIM through the transports. (More on this: http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/google-talk-news/33739-connect-google-talk-aim-msn-yahoo.html)

It works great even with the Gmail chats on FF (no lag).

I'll have to try that. Then I could maybe reduce all my different IM clients to just one...
