Bad, bad YouTube. You're supposed to shield searches from being indexed via robots.txt or similar means. Unless you wanna spam search engines! |
Also search for: [ site:www.bloglines.com bloglines/search]. Bloglines, that is Ask, doesn't know about robots.txt either. |
But why are Search engines propogating tis within their indexes ??
Should not they be droppin such results ?? |
It's either a spam tactic or a plain "bug" due to a server misconfiguration/ missing knowledge. Often when it's a spam tactic you will find optimized URLs and titles as well, which is not the case with YouTube. |
yes and also note that T'rati has drawn Google Video as top spot today and maps.yahoo seems to have crept into the top 100 spot too..
its just stange things are unfolding :0- |
This actually is a very helpful addition to Google's SERPs
A page of Video Links can add another dimension to the traditional Static Web pages or PDFs the come up 99% of the time on SERPs
For YEARS now Google has been archiving the Overture Keyword Searches

I disagree – adding search results to search results simply adds redundancy. Google ought to index the actual video pages contained on YouTube, but not search results pointing to video pages on YouTube. Spammers of course don't care if the content is redundant so they abuse search results as SE fodder... |
