I think Google has a behavioural problem when it comes to Arabic and Hebrew. Most of searchers who are used to search in english and swith to search in arabic or in hebrew they got stocked in clicking on adwords. Left-right-left.

the most interesting part in Google News in Arabic is that google find out that the main interest of arabs is news and politics.
