Some SERPS are old for one year including old titles in SERPS/
Meta Descriptions are not the one of the actual sites but old one dating at least 2 years ago or when you had your site accepted in DMOZ

Google picks the title and snippets from a variety of sources, including in-page content and DMOZ. I'm not sure, they might even do it based on how people link to the page (if the page couldn't be loaded).

The Dmoz description is especially triggered when you just search for the site's title.
