The coolest date I've lived to see was really 1/1/2000 :)
Even though it's unfortunate we don't have a good-sounding name for this century and the next, until 2020 (when we can start saying "the twenties", "the thirties" and so on). "The zeroes" and "the tenth" just doesn't sound good! |
You can say "the turn of the century" and "the teens".
I've said the former a couple of times and it throws people off :). "Back at the turn of the century, people were barely using Google!" |
