That's a very cool idea, and well done! I'd just add a button to the Digg remote that says "bury this button" :)

The slashdot remote control just needs three comment-posting buttons:

- But does it run Linux?
- Imagine a Beowulf cluster of these!
- "1. Foo. 2. ???. 3. Profit!"

The Google remote has too many buttons: Why have an 'on' button and an 'off' button when you could just have a 'power' button instead?

[Power]

[Next]

Yeah, that just about does it.

I like how Nielsen's remote has a button to turn the volume up but none to turn it down :).

Wikipedia's remote should say "edit this button" or "edit this remote"!

Google's remote could have an exclamation button which would be an "I'm feeling watchy"...
it would pick the best channel at the time.. (of course it would pick Simpsons anytime it is on air)

Google doesnt need power button(s), It's always on. All it needs is one button: search.

Well done and no wonder that we will be using it soon, may be in two years.
When Digital TV and Fiber networking are settled. I think you may mix the Remote with 3 D desktop mentioned or instead have a cool connected remote that you can wear in your hand or put in your ears (voice commands and manual electro mechanical command)

The Wikipedia remote control would have one set of buttons on it one day and overnight people would sneak into your home and change all the buttons and then the next day you'd watch a documentary which says you killed JFK.

There's isn't a Microsoft remote because it's been delayed until January.

The Google remote would have another button called 'More>>' and then you'd have to learn fifty new remote controls, only some of which are fully functional.

Until you flip it over...where there's a million tiny buttons for other services :)

Here's my (really rough and quick) take on the blogoscoped remote:

I think it gets the essentials, including keeping it simple!

1. That's an interesting and accurate description for the interface of Yahoo!

2. Here's my take on Google Blogoscoped

- Google
- More Google
- Google Info not on Google
- Other Search News

3. Google would have one button – Start, that's it.

Google would want users to Start the remote and never switch it off, what with probable Google AdWords on TV.

- Start

4. Wikipedia would have a Language button at the top

5. MSN would have a Retry button

What about adding a Microsoft Remote – except it would be made up of 3 seperate & different remotes, with buttons in different places, yet all three remotes can do the same thing?
