hey folks... this is a nice to play with ..I just discovered adn tested my own blog against.. i scored 7.9
It reported... "This website appears to be in violation of the British Disability Discrimination Act (more detail)" .. oppsy!!
heres the linky http://www.silktide.com/tools/sitescore |
I got 7.9 also. Blogoscoped has 8.8. Google has 8.3 :) |
To see how skewed is this test.
If you test google.com, you'll notice: Popularity on Google: Very poor because the site has very few keywords and doesn't rank well for, let's say, [business solutions]. |
thats funny.. google gets 8.3!! |
"SiteScore is a free tool which rates how well designed, popular and accessible your website is."
Come on, how can an automated tool do that..
For me: "The following 3 features were specifically identified: Search facility, RSS feed, News. Generally, our analysis detected a very positive selection of text and features."
That's totally silly, adding a search to a site with three pages doesn't make it better. Adding RSS to a static page doesn't either.. |
My site gets a 7.4 average. The highest is design, 9.8.
www.google.com(8.8) and google.com(8.3) gets a different score. Silktide itself is 8.1 |
My site got a 6.7. Highest is design, 8.1. Apparently, my site is in "violation of the British Disability Discrimination Act"! |
My site got the following:
Marketing = 8.4 Design = 9.8 Accessibility = 9.2 Experience = 8.7 Overall Summary = 8.3
Not bad! :-) |
Anybody how has not got this err/warning ?? This website appears to be in violation of the British Disability Discrimination Act " |
Despite getting a 9.2 for Accessibility, I still got that error.
In fact, even the UK government website where you can find out about The Disability Discrimination Act [1] has that error. And not only that, but it also scores 5.6 for Accessibility. Here's another comment about that page from the Silktide website:
<< This website is probably unlawful in Britain from the 1st October 2004. The British Disability Discrimination Act makes it unlawful to discriminate against a disabled person by refusing to provide any service provided to members of the public – including websites. >>
Furthermore, the online versions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (c. 50) [2] and Disability Discrimination Act 2005 [3] also get similar warnings and messages.
How ironic.
