Well, Gmail automatically removes everything older than 1 month, so those are the ones from June. It's takes too much time to always delete them.

I used to rely on BlueFrog to do that, but it shut down.

Umm... till now I had been doing a Select All and Delete Forever... I dont get that lot spams a day really...

I set a filter to send all emails labeled as spam to trash automatically.
A little risky, though, if gmail filters smth real.

It would if you had 1000 spam mails.

For me personally I've been seriosly considering setting up a java-script filter that checks items in the spam filter against a given set of contacts. If no matchse are found, the filter simply tells me that the spam checks "OK"... An interesting idea... Just not that good with javascript yet, and java wouldn't work.

A great feature, i'm sure most of the Gmail users have been looking for this.

basically it's saying...
"the final text to display (d) = (if g is true, create the Delete All Spam link, else do nothing) and append " (messages that have ..."

unfortunately, earlier in that function... for everyone here except Ionut, there is something that says .... "g=false" basically turning off this feature by hardcoding this value.

I tried to make this work, but there's something about the code (which is actually quite unreadable).

There is a <div class="thm"...> that includes "(messages that have been in Spam more than 30 days will be automatically deleted)". In my code, this div has a child <span class="lk" id="dal">Delete all spam messages now</span> .

The problem is I injected the JS to create the span, but when I click on the text, the message box asks if I want to delete all, i say yes, but then tells me nothing was selected.

The code is un(human)readable because it's put through a compressor which shortens variable names and puts bits of code used more that once into functions a la a normal compression algo.

I know it's obfuscated.

I set my number of messages at 100, that makes a difference ;-)

I was thrilled when I found out they were adding this feature (I submitted the suggestion probably 100 times), but it still hasn't shown up yet on my GMail account.
