No, I first saw that with an image search for katrina (which incidentially no longer works) Point is it's been there for a while.

Awesome (as Digg stories so often proclaim), but needs a Slashdot flag somewhere. Perhaps with a broken window and Borg Gates.

Too bad you already got (over) 10 of them. That'd be too much for a Digg list. ;)

Ryan Holbrook [PersonRank 0]

I know the guy who owns www.flagzilla.com, maybe he could be of some assistance in this matter? hahah, i can see them being put up in dorm rooms now!

MastaBaba [PersonRank 0]

Pleasantly different.

LeRoy Davis [PersonRank 0]

I looked cross-eyed at the digg flag for about 20 minutes ... I think I saw an flying saucer and then a tree (or maybe it was a hourse) ... poor 3D steriograph ;-)

How about http://www.calweb.com/~leroy/unfinished2.png for the Realm of Massive Graphics:

Red – What we see as we wait for the 19,384 images to load
Green – What we need for a faster Internet connection
Blue – the color of the faces of those that tried (tired?) to explain...

Alex [PersonRank 0]

Nice! :) I will probably use on these on my websites. Seriously it is a great idea!

Hah, Philipp this is an awesome entry, and I love the BoingBoing flag! How thoughtful of you to recycle Rwanda's former flag (http://snipurl.com/sp29 – pre-2002) for us. Why let a good set of vertical stripes go to waste?

Mark [PersonRank 0]

This is complete bullshit. What a waste of time and space.

NateDawg [PersonRank 10]

First off, it's not YOUR space, so get over it; second, if it's such a waste of time, find a better topic and post about it and not about the one that is "a waste of time"

Elias KAI [PersonRank 10]

what will it look like a flag for Blogoscoped ?

MyInnet [PersonRank 0]

Jack Yan [PersonRank 0]

Pip [PersonRank 8]

[put at-character here]Mark: Posting something is "waste of time" is definetly the worst waste of time. Why should you spend time on something you don't love, stupid.

> Inspired by the flag wars in the forum? ;-)

I guess so! :) I think all free-style posts here draw their inspiration from things I've read, seen, heard... sometimes even years back... I guess we're all like that...

Elias [PersonRank 0]

This is awesome.....Very creative. It´s makes me think about a dozen of another flags, like IBM, MSN or the people of Linux

Congratulations

Shawn [PersonRank 0]

The BoingBoing flag is remotely cluttered enough... where are the skyscraper ads? the thirty different partner logos? It should resemble the busiest (design wise) car on the Nascar circuit.

johny.mg [PersonRank 0]

This is so good. You can make flags for world of GNU/GPL world and Wikipedia...

Jake's View [PersonRank 10]

What about MSN? I'm going to post a link to this on my blog.

the Republic of Slashdot: Like Diggaria's flag, Slashdot's was designed in blocks by users, but the blocks tended to be mostly on the same colour scheme, and they were bigger and involved more cohesive designs.

It is a cool idea.
So billions of flags soon to be online ;)....

limitless possibilities......

The one on Yahoo had me in splits. Absolutely hilarious.

How about the ones for Open source? Linux, the various BSDs, Open Office, KDE, Gnome...?

Thanks.

bl [PersonRank 0]

This is a great idea. I had some time ago a similar idea. Instead of all these country – patriotic – nationalist flags to create individual flags.

Adam [PersonRank 0]
