It could have been a typo...if you type in "I love jesw" then google suggests the jesus correction. If you type in "I love jwes" then google suggests "I love jews".

No, this definitely worked just yesterday. This was the exact way to spell it (with or without quotes):
I love Jews
which would result in Google saying:
"Did you mean *I Love Jesus*?"
