It's new, but not for everyone. We will have it eventually, just a matter of time. The code is list in the Google JS.

NIce – now is there a way to apply such a filter to message which have been sent or are in the sent folder???

Also delete all spam showed up today

Ah – in the box "has the words" just type in:sent

it shows a checkbox "Also apply filter to 500 conversations below" even thought here are more than five hundred. And if an action like applying a label is picked it'll do it to all of them not just 500.

However when you click on the checkbox "forward it to....." a message come up saying:

'Note: old mail will not be forwarded"

Oh well, how to get outbound email back to my laptop mail program??

I truly think that exposing the new features to the world makes Gmail team release them faster.
