As you can see from the picture below, the Google Code logo is actually different from the main Google logo. It's always a transparent (not alpha) file.
It's at http://code.google.com/
I think they remade it.

Hmm. Google wastes bandwidth even tho every bit ought to be important to them... I just cropped their logo (removed whitespace from the sides, without changing the logo) and saved it as PNG not GIF (same colors), and saved 1 K :) |
mambo i dont see the difference. except for the font size it looks the same? |
do you know...... the OLD google logo is still Avaible on the server...

(save as... xcf) |
The GIMP file thing is cool =)
Sorry, yes, I forgot to say what's different. It's the colouring on the bevel. The first Google logo has a darker bevel.
My theory is that they lost the original file and had to rebuild it from scratch!! I doubt it. |
and Google's 404 Error pages still contain a delightful impersonation of their real logo: http://www.google.com/404error.html |
i dont understant why google cant use one google logo template and add (ie code, news, reader, etc) underneath it. it would make a it a lot simpler to have all of them to be the same size/color/design and make everything seem a bit more professional
