I had thougt the site was dormant and they had stopped writing!!

anyhow, jsut a question " I'm feeling lucky" is that too now in copyright infringments ??

I guess you can trademark a zen-like existential imperative such as "I'm feeling lucky". But until the button features a little TM symbol I'm not going to lose any sleep.

Well, they certainly shouldn't be able to stop people from using the word Google, but "a generic term for 'searching'"? It's pretty clear when you say google this or google that, it means to look it up on Google, not on Yahoo or some other search engine.

"google it" was first used in early 1930's – -so technically, would not that publication house have the rights to that term ??

Michael that's not clear at all. Google <i>means</i> find information, in some circles, it's just taken for granted that all information that doesn't come from our senses, or memory(and even then) comes from Google.
