Since a few hours (days?) I've got this message on my gmail module on my personalised homepage: 'Information is temporarily unavailable.'

Is anyone else having this problems? The other modules seems to work fine...

If I'm correct it's only working for /pd & Jake now. Is there anybody else that it is working for?

Jake: are you in America or Canaa? Because all the broken ones seems to be from Europe...

It's not working for couple days. I don't know what's wrong :-/

I'm from Czech republic.

No working too.
but there are bugs everywhere on Google theses days :
for example I can't reach my "preferences" in Google News (eg : personnalized sections).
Strange.

Seems to be Europe only... Strange.

I`m on my mobile now and that was the way I used to go to my mobile gmail. I have to find an other way now... Very annoying :/

I've got an answer from Gmail support:

"Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. Our engineers have been working hard to make improvements to Gmail, including the issue you described while attempting to access your account from your personalized homepage. We'd like to know if you're still affected by this issue – if so, please respond to this message so that we can continue to look into it.

Sincerely,

The Google Team"

But it still doesn't work at my page. I've wrote that in my answer.
I'll keep you updated. (Do all the Europeans have the same problem?)

Pau Tomàs [PersonRank 10]

Same problem here since one or two weeks ago. Also from Europe.

Follow up from Google Support:

"Hi,

Thank you for your reply. We're aware of this problem on Google
personalized homepage, and our engineers are currently investigating. We
hope to have this fixed soon. We appreciate your patience, and thanks for
taking the time to write.

Regards,
The Google Team"

So, that means that I'll wait a bit longer... and probably a lot of you. I'll keep you further updated.

Thank you for the update Art-One. I was sort of hoping it was a sign a new Gmail module was on the way. We'll have to wait on that one.

is this resolved yet?

My module is working, but I've also had similar problems. If it's important: US

Travis: in Europe it isn't, it seems to work outside Europe though...

Yeah UK here – been out of action for 10days+ now
Like some others I'd hoped it was a sign of new features (maybe a reply/compose widget?) but seems like it is just a good ole bug hunt :)

dpneal [PersonRank 10]

Why has this not been fixed yet? I'd have thought at least a few Google employees in Europe would have come across this problem.

Art-One [PersonRank 10]

Seems very strange to me too...

It did mostly work before, so something must have been change by which it doesn't work anymore and it has to be something that is concerning regional functionality because it's only Europe that is affected...

The only thing I saw in this fora was the video redirection change. http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-07-12.html#n90

Could it be related?

A googler post something in Google Groups

"
First, I'm delighted to hear that some of you have found at least a
temporary solution to this problem. Thanks to Nils and BlackSir for
sharing their workarounds with the group, as well as to those of you
who have reported on their success and given detailed instructions for
others to follow.

For everyone, I know you're still anxious for a permanent fix or
suggestions from my end, and I'm just as eager to share them with you
as soon as they're available. As I mentioned in my last post, this
problem seems only to be affecting certain subsets of users, and we're
actively working on identifying the source and solution to the problem.

I really appreciate your continued patience and I hope to have good
news for you soon.

PS : I'm not 100% sure that is really a googler.

It doesn't work for me. But who needs that module anyway?

It has to be, they have the 'google guide' logo next to their name. you can't fake that.

Is the weather module down too?

New York, NY
Information is temporarily unavailable.

TOMHTML [PersonRank 10]

Corsin > My weather module is down too (Lille, France)

Art-One [PersonRank 10]

I don't have the weather module on my php (;-) personalised homepage) because it isn't available for Belgium.

But I've just tried it out and indeed I have the same problem. Very strange though, as long as I don't customise it, there is no problem at all. So it certainly has something to do with the XML interfaces I think.

Google claims to have it resolved about half an hour ago. The GMail module is working for me again.

Brinke Guthrie [PersonRank 10]

I don't use the weather module---it's NEVER accurate. EVER. I mean, it will be like 25 degrees off!

Feedback via Google Groups from Google Guide:

'Drum roll, please...

The moment you've all been waiting for: we've made a change that should
(fingers crossed) fix the Gmail gadget problem you've all been
experiencing!

Let me know if the problem persists.'

Didn't find any personal feedback yet (but have still lots of mails to read :-( )
