life in prison very scary......

It's a good book – I read it in one sitting. Helped solidify my view that we're not doing the right thing by just locking people up.

I hope a prison finally gives its prisoners a computer and some broadband access (or just allow them to have their own). Then maybe they are not too bored, and can be aware of what's happening in the outside world. Of course their access should be filtred or even monitored, it will help them a lot pedagogicaly reconstruct themselves...

Sounds really interesting – especially the bit about them feeling so disoriented.

I don't believe that prison life does anything much to prepare them for their future life in society either – such a waste.

   I'ts sounds like an interesting and very informative book. What's
   so sad is all the corruption,crimes and brutality that occurs within
   prisons.
