The "coverage holes" don't appear to be related to the known propagation characteristics of radio waves.

Firstly, radio waves don't leave polygon-shaped coverage holes. Secondly, many of the so-called "coverage holes" have access points right on their edges.

Perhaps by "coverage hole" it means "an area within which we are trying to set up more access points".

So now the coverage extends to (most) of Mountain View...

I hope they would get San Francisco, and then the rest of the Bay Area, soon.
