This page says yes: https://adwords.google.com/select/AP_Terms.html?hl=de
PS: "Works" only in Internet Explorer This happens, when you open spans and never close them ;o) |
And only on the German version ;)
>>> maybe an extension of the program Google Accessible Search? It's so huge that even a blind guy is able to read it ^^ |
What do you see in IE...? |
The fonts are getting bigger and bigger and bigger (because the <span> is not </span> clsoed) |
I don't see it, but my IE6 is corrupted as I have IE7 here as well... |
IE6,O9: increasing font size IE7, FF2B1: ok |
Now the question is, which browsers behave correct? Firefox with not enlarging the font or Internet Explorer with enlarging the font?
here's a screenshot: http://cocaman.ch/images/google_ap_terms.png |
The page doesn't validate, so browsers may do with it whatever they want ;)

Whilst there's no right or wrong answer here, I would say that FF is the "most" correct. It would be fair to assume the user meant to close the SPAN tags before closing the P tag – otherwise, the nesting of the tags would be totally wrong.
But then again, who really knows what the user intended to do if they didn't write valid (X)HTML? |
