Windows live mail now has a new look of today page

Why do they think how much space I'm using is my number 1 concern when reading my email? This is useful information, but of negligable ongoing interest – should be at the bottom of the screen in small type – like GMail :)

Also – what's with the massive banners? Do you know, are they place holders for <shudder> banner ads?

Actually this is not a small change but Today Live Team has just launched the Windows Live Mail M7

So now Windows Live Mail M7 is live for everyone

Reto was saying they were *placeholders* for ads

and it's not live for me, it just pushes me back to hotmail.

It takes around 15 seconds to sign in, and then I see they still don't get it... they don't show me the inbox right away. They're just not thinking through usability IMO.
