Is there any quoto for sending mails from gmail configured outlook ?
|
I doubt there is one, but if everyone starts to use pop to access their Gmail, how are they supposed to make money out of it ?
Plus many features won't just work with the desktop client (e.g. conversations, labels, search, etc...) |
good point....... but can you confirm about the limit and exact quota ? |
Can't find any exact figures but these offer some possible clues...
Why has my Gmail account been locked? http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=43692 << Abnormal usage includes, but is not limited to: * Receiving, deleting, or POPing out large amounts of mail in a short period of time. * Sending mail to a large number of recipients in a short period of time. ... If you're using POP to retrieve your messages from Gmail and your account has been locked, please read I enabled POP access, and now I'm locked out of my Gmail account: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13293 >>
Are there limits for sending mail? http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=22839 |
Anyone knows if this applies to "GMail for your Domain"? |
no this wont applies to gmail for your domain i think
Do you see ads in gmail for your domain.
Gmail for your domain covers all the features of Gmail beta then why do they need to limit...... |
why using extern client? i think the gmail interface is much better then the most client. |
Well probally cause he set it up wrond. it works on my computer. |
There is a limit on incoming emails to a Google Group. I tried to use Outlook to redirect mail messages that had come from a Yahoo group to a Google Group and it stopped accepting them after 100 in an hour. I emailed them and the reply was that they limit incoming messages to 100 but that after an hour the filter is reset.
Perhaps there is some similar time-based filter on gmail. |
yeah >David sanger my friend was trying to send more emails to a google group at the time by using gmail configured outlook........
and stefan2904 >why using extern client? i think the gmail interface is much better then the most client.
Because my friends company network administrator blocks gmail ......and so he configured it in outlook
But now i told him to use https://mail.google.com to access gmail and it works well. that was cool.
Generally websense detects the meta of each site... and it completely ignores https sites.......... |
opppsss gmail crapped out on me... err code(717) ?? any seen this before |
stefan2904: External clients are useful when it comes to cryptography & privacy. (see: OpenPGP @ wiki) |

At my work they have Gmail blocked as well, but I just use the secure connection, most firewalls (hard or soft) don't block SSL connections:
Sankar, tell your friend to try this: https://gmail.google.com |
yes zeitgeist i have i think you have not noticed this pharse i wrote above.. >But now i told him to use https://mail.google.com to access gmail and it works well. that was cool.

I'm currently getting weird timeouts in Thunderbird when I send emails. I'll post screenshots if the problem persists. |
