Sure, they took a program from an affiliate out just a couple of months ago.

Perhaps they will add Real Player now. ;)

Yup, mine now has a link that says "recent activity", the updates tab was added

And if you mean the programs, Google Video Player was added, an IM was removed, and I'm sure some other stuff has happened

Tony, Real Player is already in Google Pack. Yep Trillian was recently removed.

Google Pack is really useless

It was supposed to warn me if a software can be updated and/or update it automatically, but nothing! I have discovered few days ago that there was a new version of Ad-Aware, but Google Pack updater doesn't care about that...

Google created that only to do some "buzz" during its IPO, if my memories are good, but nothing more...

Google says that their team has to test new versions of software before they are updated, Google Software will obviously be added quicker.
Adobe Acrobat Reader, Google Desktop and maby one other has been updated since I installed Google Pack.
Firefox updates it self and I download the Latest Google Earth by my self

Not really, Google Pack might be useless for us. But it goes great with a brand new computer.

It's also easy for us to recommend to someone wanting software advice. "Just get Google Pack"
