Looks like some backend change happened to Google Talk. From yesterday evening, my Google talk client shows only one contact as online. Other people can see me but I cannot. They can even send me messages. I can send them back by responding but I still can't see them.
Blocking or some other stealth features are not a problem as some 10 – 20 people can't do at the same time.
If I got my gmail address book, most of my friends are online. I have no idea why this is happening and looks like it is not an isolate issue as my other computer shows the same too.
Anyone noticed similar issues today? |
And by the way, I am using the new Google Talk Client, the one with Voice mail. |
Hmm is this a sign of a AIM/GTalk integration? |
What version are you using ?
Right click on the Talk icon in the tray and choose About. |
It's working allright for me. (I do see that when I'm working wireless and it has a reconnect, than it needs some time to refresh, but that seems normal behaviour to me...) |
Yep working fine here too (1.0.0.95) |
what about Gmail Talk.. do you see them on Gmail Talk? |
Nope, I cannot. But if i type the name, i can see them online and can also chat. |
my advise is to contact the support team.. http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/request.py?contact_type=bugs&Action.Search=Continue
Good luck :) |
