^very nice. (if it works..) |
the url http://www.r2unit.org/desktop/analytics.gg
is not funcational |
/pd i think you need the Google Desktop thing, that big "i-index-your-computer-and-backup-it-on-my-server" google software |
Hmmm. It shows white here, now that you mention it Pd. |
Phillip et al. – thanks for posting about this - It is function – but you need Google Desktop – as Corsin so eloquently described it. Not sure why the link isnt working for the two of you.
any comment or feedback would be more than welcomed!

How do you get it in to GD though? Do you just add it to the gadget folder in my documents?
Corsin GD has file sharing off by defalt and shouldn't put them on it's server. If it has there's a "Clear my files from Google" Button |
I just posted this to digg – just for its simplicity: http://digg.com/software/Beam_Google_Analytic_Stats_to_your_desktop
getting it into GD was easy, download it form that link and then just double click it.
|
I got it showing in GD, but the "Options", ehm, option is greyed out in the menu and I cannot get it to work. Suggestions? |
Alberto -
there are no options – it should prmopt for your GA username/password and then log you in –

after downloading the .gg file, you click on it and GD asks you if you want to install it: you got that much correct?
once it is loaded into GD, do at least see the dock which says Analytics?
what should happen is a small 'click here for login' in the analytics dock
|
PS – make sure you have the latest version of desktop |
I got to see the dock, but it just remained blank. After re-installing Google Desktop (I had the latest version) I got it to work porperly.
Nice gadget, helps me easily keep track of traffic! |
Alberto -
thanks for following up that it is working. Phew – thought I got caught with my pantalones down!
