Modify Google Maps' appearance and content with custom XSL files

Hi,

Just a quick note to say I've added "Part 8" to
http://libgmail.sourceforge.net/googlemaps.html which documents a way to modify Google Maps' appearance with custom XSL files.

The demo included displays custom text and images in the Info popups.

Of course, I don't really know squat about XSL so I'm sure more impressive things are possible...

How's it done? Well, I essentially implemented an extended
XmlHttpRequest object that allows off-domain file retrieval and got Gmaps to use that instead of the normal one.

The code's a mess but it works for me under Firefox. There's some XML parsing code I found somewhere which probably won't work under IE at the moment.
